Key Benefits of Transkriptor + Close Integration

Automatic Meeting Notes in Your CRM: After each meeting, Transkriptor finds the matching lead by participant email and adds a note containing the meeting summary and links to the transcript and recording.

Follow-Up Tasks, Created for You: Transkriptor's AI extracts action items from the transcript and creates a task on the lead for each one — with a due date set for the next day.

Never Lose a Contact: If a meeting participant isn't in Close yet, Transkriptor can automatically create a new lead for them so no one falls through the cracks.

Email-Matched Accuracy: Notes and tasks are attached to the right lead by matching participant email addresses from the meeting.

How to Connect Close to Transkriptor

Step 1: Start from the Transkriptor App

Open the Integrations tab in your Transkriptor dashboard, find Close, and click Connect. The "Connect Your Close" modal will open with an API Key field. Keep this open — you'll get your key from Close in the next steps.

Important: Copy the key immediately — for security reasons, it will not be shown again after you close this modal.

Step 5: Configure Your Close Settings

Once the connection is successful, the Close Settings modal will open. Toggle on or off based on your preferences:

  • Log to Existing — Add a meeting note to leads already in Close (on by default)

  • Create New Contacts — Automatically create a new lead when a participant isn't found in Close (on by default)

  • Sync Action Items — Create a task on the lead for each action item extracted from the transcript (on by default)

  • Include Summary — Add the AI meeting summary to the note (on by default)

  • Include Transcript Link — Add a transcript link to the note (on by default)

  • Include Audio Link — Add an audio recording link to the note (on by default)

Click Save to apply your settings.

Step 6: Done — Close Updates Automatically

The integration is now active. After each meeting, Transkriptor will match participants by email, log notes to their leads, and create follow-up tasks in Close.

Note: This integration works for meetings with participants. Regular file uploads don't have participant emails to match against, so no CRM records are created for them.

What Happens After Each Meeting

Once connected, after a meeting finishes processing and the AI summary is ready, Transkriptor goes through each participant's email and:

  1. Finds the matching lead in Close (if Log to Existing is on).

  2. Creates a new lead for that participant if none exists (if Create New Contacts is on).

  3. Adds a note to the lead containing:

    • The meeting title and date

    • The AI summary (optional)

    • A Transcript link — View Transcript (optional)

    • An Audio link — Listen (optional)

    • A "Created by Transkriptor" footer

  4. Creates a task on the lead for each action item found in the transcript (if Sync Action Items is on), with a due date set for the next day.

If a participant can't be matched and Create New Contacts is off, that participant is skipped.
