How to Connect Discord to Transkriptor
Step 1: Start from the Transkriptor App
Open the Integrations tab in your Transkriptor dashboard, find Discord, and click Connect.
Step 2: Authorize with Discord
You'll be redirected to Discord's authorization screen. Under Add to server, select the server you want to use. Under Add a webhook to, choose the exact channel where you want your summaries posted. Click Authorize to confirm.
Note: This requires you to have Manage Server permission in the selected server. Transkriptor only gets permission to post to the channel you selected — it cannot read your messages or access any other part of your server.
Step 3: Configure Your Notification Settings
Once connected, click the three-dot icon next to Discord in the Integrations tab and open Settings. From the Discord Settings modal, toggle on or off:
Include Summary — include the AI meeting summary in the message (on by default)
Include Media Link — add a clickable link to the audio recording (off by default)
Include Transcript Link — add a clickable link to the full transcript (on by default)
Click Save to apply your preferences.
Step 4: Done
The integration is immediately active. From now on, every time a meeting or file finishes processing, Transkriptor will automatically post a formatted message to your selected Discord channel — including the summary and any links you've enabled.
What Happens After Each Meeting
Once connected, Transkriptor automatically posts a formatted embed to your Discord channel every time a transcription or meeting finishes processing.
Each embed includes:
📝 Meeting title and file name
AI-generated summary of key discussion points and action items
📄 View Transcript — a clickable link to the full transcript in Transkriptor
🎵 Listen Recording — a clickable link to the audio recording (optional, off by default)
Type tag — indicates whether the source was a Meeting or an Upload
Long summaries are automatically trimmed to fit Discord's message limits — so links are never cut off.
Configure Your Notification Settings
Control exactly what Transkriptor posts to your Discord channel. Manage these settings from the Discord integration settings in the Transkriptor app.

How to Disconnect
To stop posting to Discord, go to Transkriptor app → Integrations → Discord → Disconnect. This removes the stored webhook from Transkriptor.
To fully remove the webhook on Discord's side as well, you or a server admin can delete it under Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks.
Troubleshooting
