What is Custom Vocabulary for Transcription?

Custom vocabulary lets you add your own words and phrases to Transkriptor so the AI knows to watch for them and improve transcription accuracy.

With custom vocabulary transcription, you can add:

  • Medical and clinical terms (drug names, procedures, diagnoses)

  • Legal terminology and case references

  • Product names, platform names, and internal tools

  • Company names and brand names

  • Industry acronyms and abbreviations

  • People's names that are uncommon or likely to be misheard

Once a term is in your list, it applies to every transcript you generate going forward. You set it up once, and the improvement carries through automatically.

Trustpilot Reviews

Best transcription app

I've been using Transkriptor for the past few days and I've been very impressed with the accuracy of the transcription. Even with longer audio files or noise, the app identifies almost everything correctly. The processing speed is also a strong point — the file is ready in just a few minutes. The interface is simple, you don't need to hunt for functions, and exporting to other formats makes the work much easier. Overall, it's a practical, fast, and reliable tool, ideal for anyone who needs to transform audio into text without any headaches.
